Feedback on Total Quality Management Seminar

Luisa Baarde S22
Today's talk about Total Quality Management was one of the most fun and substantial talk that I've ever attended. There wasn't a time in the talk that my attention wasn't captured. Mr. Molano truly was successful at his objective to make us understand total quality, and how we can apply it to ourselves. I really don't usually take down notes during talks, but this talk really was very helpful and very substantial, that it is really useful for my self betterment. Mr. Molano is a great educator, he mixes humor with information that really makes the talk interesting. He's stories really has a moral and really is related to the topic. Mr. Molano really is a quality teacher. I want to take him as my Professor in one of my future courses in my degree program.

The talk over-all was a success, i was able to understand what total quality is, and how do i achieve it. As a student i will take the tips that Mr. Molano suggested. I will try my best to be a quality student. :)

1. What do you think is the relevance of the course to you as a future IST professional?
Based on my own interpretation about the course. Eduproc will be helpful for us in the near future, in designing and implementing educational tools and such. And personally, I think that through this course, we will be able not just to design and implement, but to enter into the business side of the profession as well (like making up our own business).

2. What do you expect to learn/get from the course? What can you contribute to the class so that everyone's learning experience will be enriched?
I expect that from this course, I will be able to explore more and understand more what is in store for me as a future IST Professional.

The things that I could contribute for the class are, my attention as well as proper behavior. Because for me, paying attention would motivate others to listen as well and it is one way to show our respect for the professor. And behaving properly would help others to learn more effectively.

3. Comment on the following: "I don't want to learn about technology; I just want to be good at my job."
"I don't want to learn about technology, I just want to be good at my job". For me, this does not actually makes sense. Since our profession deals with technology and how we would deal in its continuous advancements and changes, it is somehow impossible to be good at this job without having prior knowledge about technology.

1. What do you think is the relevance of the course to you as a future IST professional?
I think taking this course is crucial for someone taking my course. Having to be aware of the business processes and educational processes, it will give me awareness and a head start in the future because i would be knowledgeable of the set up of the company i would be working on. It is basically widening our knowledge about how businesses and schools or other educational institution works.

2. What do you expect to learn/get from the course? What can you contribute to the class so that everyone's learning experience will be enriched?
I expect to learn more about the terms and concepts being used in the business and educational proccesses. Also, i would be well knowledgeable to how these processes works.  I would contribute my participation and interest so that we would have fruitful class lectures.

3. Comment on the following: "I don't want to learn about technology; I just want to be good at my job."
The phrase is a phrase that would be used by people who likes to outcast themselves from society. Nowadays, almost everything is based on technology, almost all jobs requires knowledge about technology, it would be hard to work or even understand what's happening without the use of technology. It might be hard for someone who doesn't know any gadget based on technology because they are being left by our chaging world.

1. What do you think is the relevance of the course to you as a future IST professional?
I guess the relevance of EDUPROC to IST is that EDUPROC will somehow teach me how to do a process step by step. I need to learn how to do that step by step process in order for me to accomplish my tasks as an IST student.

2. What do you expect to learn/get from the course? What can you contribute to the class so that everyone's learning experience will be enriched?
From this course, i expect that, yeah, this course will teach me how to do a process step by step, and also this course maybe will teach me how to be patient and have to be more perseverant in accomplishing a task. I guess one thing that i can contribute to the class is that i can show them that I am really working hard to get a high grade in this course, and maybe they will get motivated to do so.

3. Comment on the following: "I don't want to learn about technology; I just want to be good at my job."
That statement for me is wrong because how can you be good at a certain job if that job requires you to use technology but you dont want to learn about technology. It just sounds stupid. Also, technology these days are in great demand, so that statement is nonesense.

2. What do you expect to learn/get from the course? What can you contribute to the class so that everyone's learning experience will be enriched?
i expect to learn some management skills and project planning skills. i can contribute my good class behaviour so that my classmates can have a good class ambience that is comfortable to study in.

3. Comment on the following: "I don't want to learn about technology; I just want to be good at my job."
the said statement is impossible to achieve in the field of an IST professional, technology itself is a major component of the profession. easier said than done, i believe that "knowing is half the battle."
